Thank You.

Thank God for His Word without it I would be lost.

Thank God for friends without them I would be lonely with no accountability.

Thank God for Jesus without Him I would be living life for me.

Amanda came up with a possible reason to why my hip and back are hurting. Due to my weightloss I probably carry myself the way I used to when I was heavy. My body is used to having extra to carry!

Rock hopping in Narnia at Cedar Campus.

The water! We are close!

The bugs were really bad up there.

Not the greatest picture of my rock hopping, oh well.

I’m not too sure what we are doing in this picture.

Nikki and I. It must have been red shirt day.

That’s how I feel my emotions have been going this past weeek. Yesterday was an up day of course! I got to see my Cooks before I leave. 🙂

My blog is going on a little rest for a week. I am going up with the InterVarsity group from my college. We are going up for Chapter Focus Week. I am doing an evangelism track. So, hope it all goes well. Pray for me! 🙂
Love does not boast
Love after all
Matters the most
Love does not run
Love does not hide
Love does not keep
Locked inside
Love is the river that flows through
Love never fails you
Love will sustain
Love will provide
Love will not cease
At the end of time
Love will protect
Love always hopes
Love still believes
When you don’t
Love is the arms that are holding you
Love never fails you
When my heart won’t make a sound
When I can’t turn back around
When the sky is falling down
Nothing is greater than this
Greater than this
Love is right here
Love is alive
Love is the way
The truth the life
Love is the river than flows through
Love is the arms that are holding you
Love is the place you will fly to
Love never fails you

There is an old church building up North in the Roscommon area. On the corner of a dirt road and concrete one.

The old church building has additions to it. A kitchen, bathrooms, upstairs bunks and down stairs bunks.

Amid the laughing and screaming with delight in an intense game of fuseball, there are many distinct sights and sounds that you will only experience at Higgins Lake Christian Church Retreat Center. Thankfully this time around we have had no renditions of “You Are My Sunshine.”

To name a few…

If you are a sleepy girl and decide that ‘just a few more minutes’ curled in a sea of fleece tie blankets is worth it, then you might get woken up by a youth pastor knocking on the sliding glass door. This will be followed by other young ladies coming to their friends’ rescue by beating said youth pastor with shoes.

If you have the pleasure of being friends with Dotty the Bipolar bear you already know that if she wants you to wake up, you WILL wake up. Her boyfriend made the mistake of sleeping in Sunday morning. Briana stood in the middle of the stairway calling “Jaaaaasoooon, Jaaaaaaaaaaaasoooon! Baby? Jaaaaaaason?”

“You didn’t hear her?”

“I fell back asleep.”

If you are good friend’s with any of the Webb family then you well know that despite their innocent countenances they enjoy a prank now and again. Most of the time they will get their friends in on it. This includes sticky noting the boy’s bathroom and duct taping their toilet shut, putting numbing solution on the rims of cups, to replacing whipped cream with shaving cream.

When the pranks are put away and the fuseball table sit vacant you will see many, many teens either in prayer, worshiping God, listening to a speaker, among other things.

Higgins is a special place. Like any other retreat you relax and goof off. But there is something special there. It makes you want to stay around longer and not leave right away. It has that up-north Michigan feeling that I love. A church-away-from-church if you will.

God is so good.

I’m back.

Okay, well, first let me clarify what too late is for me. Too late for me is 3 A.M. or later. If I stay up past this time, the Zombie stage is bound to set in.

Thankfully for their sakes the Cooks haven’t witness this…yet. haha. They have witnessed some silliness, but not zombie. 🙂 And certian people are lucky that I like them so much otherwise…

I am rather awake right now. In the van I was curled up under my coat though.

I had a good time. I met new people. Sorry it’s not very in depth, but hey give me a break I just got back. I need awhile to think about everything that happened.

Waiting to leave.

Hey, if you liked that “must read” last post just wait until page two! 😛

I’m sitting in the Cook’s living room. Betsy, Julie, and Aaron are resting up before we leave. Amy is packing random stuff.

We are going on a retreat. This post is just something for my faithful readers to read this morning while I’m gone. I won’t be posting for the next two days so, just tough it out I think you’ll live 😀

Later gators!
