There are some things that really make my blood boil…

There was an earthquake along the Atlantic coast today just before 2 P.M., our time.

How many more warnings does America need?!

Wake up! Don’t bury your head in the sand. Think about the path that our country is on.

Think about it.

Pray and prepare.

For the past few days my friend Aaron had been in immense pain. Him and Julie sleep in the living room of their house, due to Julie’s hospital bed and that Aaron has a difficult time laying flat. He woke Julie up yelling “OUCH!” in his sleep. His pain had been increasing.

“Pain’s gone up, Lauren.” He told me a Saturday. I felt so bad for him. I do not like seeing people in pain. What’s more I do not like seeing my siblings in Christ in pain. I can’t do anything about it…well at least in my power. That Sunday the elders annoited him and prayed over him. (http://acooker.blogspot.com/2010/03/anointed.html) and now he is healed. Praise God!

Betsy’s rib that had been getting swelling around has gone down too! Even though she still rides in the car with a blanket on her side (totally do not blame her for that one) she is doing very well. 🙂 Last week she got up and did an imitation of the Bible School choir director’s mannerisms.

Julie is doing really good too! She is soon to be graduating from a walker to a cane. Amy has a list of things that she has to be able to do in order to go on a retreat this weekend. Sleeping in a normal bed, walking up stairs, and so on. The three are pretty determined that we are going to make it. With all of this good news I really think we are! Praise God. He is so good!

God is a faithful God. He answers prayer. He answered mine. After years of praying for a “second home”. God answered. For a godly woman for a role model. God answered. And just a place to be where I can “come over any time” As Betsy would say it. God answered.

I was talking with my Pastor, the Wensday before the accident I believe. He said that I needed to pray for these things. I have been, but I had lost hope a little.

That unforgettable, nightmarish Monday I was at work. I was almost in tears feeling sorry for myself. Little did I know that in a few hours, my life would change completely. And the rest of the story belongs to God.

I know a lot of my posts have been like this but I just can’t get away from the fact that God answers prayers. I just have to give Him praise for that. I do not want to be guilty of not giving Him glory! So if you are looking for posts on something different, tough, you have to deal with it. 😛

When we are cast into the firey furnace He doesn’t let us go there alone. Even if it is seven times as hot. If we belong Him then He will be with us.
